Sitting north of Brisbane in the Moreton Bay Region, Kallangur is a quiet, family-friendly suburb that’s especially popular amongst younger families. Location and Accessibility:

30-kilometres north of Brisbane, Kallangur sits right next to the northbound M1 highway. This gives easy access to the city as well as to the beaches of the Sunshine Coast.

A 45-minute drive and residents can be sunning themselves on a Caloundra beach. The Brisbane airport is also a mere 20-minute drive away.

The suburb is serviced by the Kallangur train station, sitting on the Redcliffe Peninsula line. This can take you directly into the city, which is ideal for job commuters, or North-East to Kippa-ring.

The Murrumba Downs train station and Dakabin train station are also accessible and might be more convenient depending on where one lives. There’s also a solid network of buses throughout the suburb, taking you to the train station or a number of other destinations. You’re never far from public transport in Kallangur.

Thanks to a growing population in Kallangur and surrounding suburbs, you don’t have to travel far before you reach shops. Anzac Avenue is lined with restaurants, doctors, pharmacies, bottle stores, take-aways and grocery stores.

Westfield North Lakes Shopping Centre is just a few minutes drive away, with its host of speciality shops and stores. International icons IKEA and Costco are also within easy reach.

Savvy investors are snapping up properties in Kallangur before prices start to climb when the University of the Sunshine Coast campus opens in Petrie.

Thanks to the massive growth of North Lakes as a residential and work hub, as well as the advent of Redcliffe Rail, Kallangur is a suburb to look out for in the next few years.
