Eulo is located 69km west of Cunnamulla, 856km west of Brisbane via St George, with a population totalling 100, and the home of the legendary Eulo Queen Hotel. Originally built in 1954, this timber hotel comes with a recently renovated kitchen catering for a 30-seat bistro, an 80 seat “woolshed” themed beer garden, convenience store, camping grounds with cabins, and cold beer on tap!
The Woolshed Themed Beer Garden is a newly built solid replica woolshed, complete with original timber and a 1950′s woolpress. The open plan was designed to create atmosphere and provide a perfect afternoon out of the sun with a cold beer. This area is the ideal location for organised and catered events, such as sporting events played on the large flat screen TV or milestone celebrations, all with a stocked bar to keep everyone entertained.
The Convenience Store, open 7 days a week, services the local town and their visitors, plus the tourism industry. With renovations completed, the Convenience Store is stocked with all your supermarket goodies such as fresh local meats, a healthy selection of fruit & veg, pharmaceutical products, medication and skincare. The outdoor seating at the front provides space for the whole group to relax while savouring their favourite burger or toastie.
The Camping Grounds consists of multiple camping sites that cater to all, with plenty of options to offer the whole family or a group of friends wanting to experience the Aussie Outback.
There are 5 Family Rooms that sleep up to 4 people with a private raised veranda & outdoor setting, plus 10 single rooms with aircon, tv, & hot showers. There are also 7 tent sites, 5 drive thru sites, and 20 powered sites with concrete slab. To top it all off, there is a camp kitchen with a firepit.
While staying at the Eulo Queen Hotel there is plenty to do and see in town and surrounding areas! Eulo is a part of the Natural Science Loop – the sky is literally the limit on this fully sealed outback adventure. Along the way, you can view the life size Diprotodon Statue, experience a hot artesian mud bath, visit the 250-year-old heritage listed Dig Tree at Coopers Creek, birdwatch 226 species in Currawinya, stop over on the way to Birdsville Big Bash Races, see the Bilby Burrow Art Gallery and celebrate music at the Mulga Country Music Fest, and so much more!
