{The government announced on 20th Nov 2023 some huge changes to the First Home Owner Grant. It was announced that they will be doubling the First Home Owner Grant to $30,000 from 20st Nov 2023 until 30 June 2025!!
You must be buying or building a new (not previously lived in) home valued at less than $750,000. It could be a new home, unit, townhouse or granny flat, or a home in a manufactured home park.
You must be 18 years or older and it must be your first residential property owned in Australia. This doubled First Home Owner Grant will apply to eligible transactions between 20 November 2023 and 30 June 2025. First home owners are expected to be able to apply for the increased grant from the first week of January 2024.
