Take yourself back in time to this quaint little township of Rhyndaston where thetrain appears out of a 1 kilometre tunnel onto the midlands plateau. Built around 1896 this old school house takes you way back in time. It is solidly built as was common in that era with huge hardwood bearers and beams.
The kitchen sports an array of timbers including Huon Pine drawers and a Macrocarpa bench top. It also has Baltic Pine doors which are a feature down the hall where generous sized bedrooms are found. The kitchen flows easily into a large open plan dining lounge area (the old classroom), which has large multi pane windows letting in plenty of light.
Another interesting feature is the stairway in the main room which leads to the large warm attic which could make a great 4th bedroom.
The home is heated by two woodheaters (one in a bedroom ) and a combustion stove.
Coming from a bore is an automatic supply of your own mineral water (water test available). Set on 1ha of lush paddocks, this old school house is only 50 minutes approximately from Hobart and 20 minutes from the Oatlands School. Consider lowering or eliminating your debt and consider a tree change.
