The Davey family are synonymous with the Deddington area and manage these farms concurrently. The land is located 30 minutes drive from Launceston’s CBD.
“Ngapara” is 28.63 hectares (71 acres) and enjoys nearly 700m of Nile River frontage. A spacious brick home built in 1975 is located perfectly on the bank of the river, the sound of the water passing through is simply tranquil. The original cottage has been converted into a two stand shearing shed. There are cattle and sheep yards, a steel machinery shed and an open fronted three bay implement shed. Domestic and stock water is drawn from river. Paddocks are well fenced and established pastures are fertilised annually. The farm supports a ewe flock and beef cattle but the fertile soils could well grow crops.
