Sylvan Park caters for the most discerning guests seeking to indulge in the country experience in style. It has recently undergone major renovations to provide all the facilities and amenities of modern living while still retaining its ambience and rich sense of history.

Exterior
Sylvan Park is an historic timber country house built in c1903. It is painted in a traditional palette of whites and maroon. Timber balustrading on the shady verandahs, French doors, double hung windows and ornate window hoods add to the list of classic colonial architectural features.
Interior
The interior is decorated in rich earthy tones of cream, chocolate and coffee with an occasional splash of vibrant red. A mixture of period furniture and more modern pieces merge to provide an overall sophisticated, yet comfortable living space.
Garden
Tenterfield, at 850m above sea level, experiences four distinct seasons. There is always something new to be seen as you stroll through Sylvan Park’s half an acre of English country gardens, framed by huge established trees, and offering an amazing display of colour and structure throughout the year.
Tariffs
Prices are for a maximum of four guests
$290 for one night
$250 for two nights or more
Free night -stay 7 nights and pay for six nights
Easter – 5 night minimum
Christmas – 2 night minimum (no check-in or check-out on December 25)
Policies & Services
The following policies and services have been developed to ensure all guests continue to enjoy their stay at Sylvan Park.
Payment
A 50% deposit is required for stays of two nights or more, or 100% payment for one night stays. Please contact the letting agent for payment details.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations notified more than 14 days prior to arrival day will be entitled to a full refund.
Cancellations notified 14 days or less will forfeit all monies paid unless we are able to rebook the stay to another guest.
Introductory Service
In order to ensure you are fully comfortable with staying at Sylvan Park, our agent will provide a personal tour of the property outlining the various features. Additional details are covered in the house compendium.
Fully Self Catering
Sylvan Park is fully self catering. Tenterfield is well serviced by several grocery stores, and specialty butchers.
Security Deposit
Due to the exclusive nature of Sylvan Park a $500 security deposit is payable upon booking and fully refundable once the cleaning service and inventory checks have been completed.
24 Hour Contact
When staying at Sylvan Park we appreciate Tenterfield may be new to you and on occasions there may be emergency issues with the property. When checking in, in addition to the standard emergency contact numbers, we will supply you with the contact details of our local agent in case of an emergency.
Non Smoking
For the comfort and safety of all our guests, Sylvan Park is strictly a Non Smoking property. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in loss of bond and significant extra cleaning charges.
Pets
Unfortunately Sylvan Park is not suitable for pets.
Guests
Sylvan Park caters for a maximum of four guests only. It is not suitable for parties or large gatherings. The property agent has the right to ensure that any additional guests not previously approved by the agent, leave the property immediately.
Noise
As Sylvan Park is located in a residential area, please respect your neighbour’s privacy and ensure noise levels are kept low at all times.
Servicing
The house is serviced when you check-out. Washing facilities and basic cleaning products are supplied for you use during your stay. Additional services are charged at $100 and can be arranged by contacting the agent.
Keys
Check-in times are between 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and 9-12 Saturday. After hours key collection can be arranged by contacting the agent. A $10 surcharge will apply on these occasions. A $50 key bond will be reimbursed when the keys are returned on checkout.
Caravans and Motor Homes
If you are travelling with your caravan or motor home additional off street parking is available at the property. Access however will be dependent upon the size and manoeuvrability of your vehicles.
