Hi, I’m Aideen. I’m 32, originally from Ireland, but have called Sydney home for six years. I work Mon-Fri in corporate sales for an IT company in the city which keeps me pretty busy. Apart from work my week is spent catching up with friends for drinks/dinner/movies, going to the gym or just chilling out at home. I do still enjoy some big nights out at the weekend but am past the point of wanting to bring the party home all the time. I’m also just as happy having the occasional quiet relaxing weekend at home. My friends would say I’m easy going, sociable and independent. I am mindful of other’s space and keep any shared areas as clean and tidy as possible but by no means am I a clean freak!
About my place: Modern, bright, 2 bedroom apartment, located just a short stroll from Five Ways, in the heart of Paddington, The apartment is fairly roomy, with a large open plan lounge and dining room, with separate fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. Large sunny balcony off the lounge, with great views of the city skyline. Includes an internal laundry room and additional built in storage in the lounge area.
Bedroom for rent is medium sized, can easily fit a double bed, bed side lockers and chest of drawers. Also has spacious mirrored built-ins. there is also another set of built-ins near the apartment entrance which have plenty of space available. Bathroom is shared with one other person, however this has never been an issue with my previous flatmates.
Bills are approximately $115 per month and include Foxtel, electricity and white goods rental.
I’m looking to live with someone friendly, social and respectfu who is looking for a home rather than just somewhere to sleep and store your stuff. Having done the house share thing for the last 11 years or so I appreciate the importance of respecting your fellow house mates and their space while at the same time being able to enjoy the social aspect of living with others. Would be great to live with someone equally social who is happy to have the occasional drink/meal together. I’ve been very fortunate to have made friends with some great people while house sharing in Sydney so am hoping to continue my run of good flatmate karma! I also like to bake so bonus for you if you have a sweet tooth. The apartment is pretty much fully equipped with all furniture, kitchen stuff etc. (except for the room for rent) but happy to accommodate any additions to the place as needed.
