Dangar Island is located 3 minutes off shore opposite Brooklyn and it has no vehicle access. Access is via ferry or water taxi which will set you down at the Public Wharf. Dangar Island sits on the estuary overlooking the township of Brooklyn and is connected to city water, electricity and telephone. The island has a cafe & general store for your day to day supplies, regular ferry service, childrens playing area and bowling green. Stroll around the island and view the historic sites, laze on the beach and catch your seafood lunch or cruise down to the mighty Pacific Ocean, there is plenty to keep you occupied. This particular section of the Hawkesbury is almost the widest point so the view from your deck is spectacular and the evening breeze sets the scene for a romantic evening.
