Double room in a renovated townhouse in the heart of newtown. Just a 50 metre walk to King street, pretty much between the Marlborough and the Coopers if you’re familiar with the area.

Your room is at the front of the house with a window and is unfurnished. It has floorboards, fairly high ceiling and some nice art deco features. It is large enough for a double/queen sized bed, desk, wardbrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and space to walk around.

The house has floorboards throughout, one main bathroom, separate toilet, pretty big kitchen, internal laundry, gorgeous courtyard with clothes line. The house is fully furnished so you won’t need anything except your bedroom furniture and some curtains. I can also spot you a full length mirror and wooden clothing rail for your clothes if needed.

The layout of the house is not really suited for parties, but there’s plenty of options to get together with groups of mates on King St.

Rent is $560 per fortnight. Bills include foxtel, gas, electricity, water and unlimited speedy wifi. Usually come to around $150 or so a month. Sometimes more, sometimes less – depending on the season.

You will be sharing with me and Smokey AKA Mr Smokes a Russian Blue, housetrained and adoring cat. I’m a 35 year old corporate events manager and travel a bit for work. I lead a pretty busy life, with work, study, training and catching up with friends. When I’m home, I love my downtime and see the house as a bit of a sanctuary away from the world. In a nutshell: runner, tweeter, beach lover.

I’m looking for a drama free flatmate around my age to share with who is also busy with their own stuff but is happy to share the occassional wine and chat. Someone who is clean and tidy in communal areas is important too.
