I may not be as young as other homes but I’m sturdy and cosy and so enjoy looking after my occupants.
This home is situated in one of the most perfect positions – particularly for a family with limited transport and school age children. Another really great feature of this home is that it lets your creative/interior decorating ‘juices’ flow – there is so much potential in this home with strategic placement of furnishings etc.
The first thing you’ll notice is the high ceilings which are fantastic for those warmer months. The lounge and dining are combined in a large air conditioned room – with new curtains. Off the lounge/dining is: the third bedroom – that could double as: a formal dining room; a large office; or child play room – is a good size and could easily fit a queen size bed; there is a quite large built in wardrobe and big windows for natural light and breezes.
Also off the lounge/dining is the kitchen, a little quirky but great storage with timber cupboards; a large island bench/breakfast bar that can store stools; the stove is freestanding and the owners also left behind a fridge that is a little old but works well (for tenant use, if they wish, will not be repaired).
Toward the back of the house there are 2 more bedrooms – the first one is the ‘blue room’ which is smaller than the front room but has a walk in wardrobe and lots of windows for those fantastic breezes during summer – the other room is the main bedroom and the size of this one is fabulous, not only could you fit your queen size bed in here you could also fit a comfy chair and bookcase for your personal reading nook – and built in robes.
The two bathrooms and laundry are located near the two other bedrooms and consist of: a hip bath (good size to bath the children); two showers; a single hand basin + vanity cupboard under; the tub and cupboard for the laundry; and a washing machine (for tenant use, if they want, will not be repaired). Next door is the separate toilet.
There are three entrances to this home: the front door; the kitchen door; and the laundry door – all have security screen doors. The front opens onto a lovely covered verandah; the kitchen and laundry doors open onto a FANTASTIC covered entertaining/undercover car park area – has roll-a-doors either end – really handy when being chased around the house……
In the yard is a good size shed; lemon trees (with lemons); large established bushes that border the property; a few smaller plants at the front with stepping stones to the mail box in between. The length of the fence line in the entertaining area is full of healthy plants and looks fabulous and also great for privacy. Situated on a corner block there is the front driveway and a back entry for a vehicle.
