Everyone cleans up after themselves but nobody is a clean-freak as such.Everyone works hard during the week and relaxes on the weekends. It is not a party house but we have the occaisional party once every month or two on weekends. Everyone has friends round without any worries but the apartment doesnt have a revolving door either. The room is big enough for a double-bed. I have a preference to leave the double bed behind as it saves me having to do anything with it before I go OS. So if you want it it comes free with the room you can see it in the picture. I bought the mattress 18 months ago so its still fresh and springy. The room has built-in wardrobes and an air con unit. You would be sharing a bathroom with 2 ladies so it is kept pretty clean. The apartment has a dryer and a washing machine that can turn out a 19 minute cycle for the last minute washing runs when you have been flat chat busy and realize you dont have any clean work clothes for the next day. The kitchen has a gas stove which means instant heat for us Gen Ys who dont like to wait. Its well stocked with cooking utensils a reliable modern fridge and there is also a small mini-bar fridge for extra space. The apartment has a very large balcony which looks out to the city and the river with a 180 degree view. Its great for chilling out with a drink and watching the sunset. It also gives you plenty of space for yoga interpretative dance or air guitar. The balcony doors open up in summer and you get a good breeze off the river. The apartment is air conditioned for the extreme QLD days.Close to public transport with city-cat and buses nearby. Undercover parking is available at night and on weekends. There are plenty of food options. Downstairs you have an IGA open until midnight which operates as your own extended personal pantry. There is a Spoon caf where they do great coffee and if you go often enough the owner Megan will give you a nickname and everyone will know your coffee order. There is Sushi Kotabuki Hand made pizza Chinese Subway Fish and chips and a cheap steak at the hotel within a hundred meters walking distance. It is also 10 minute walking distance to the Gabba which used to be a bit of a cultural dive when I grew up there but now has a few trendy cocktail bars restaurants and art galleries. A couple more streets over is Balaclava street with cafs and international delis a bit of a hidden gem in Brissie. Unlimited wireless internet would be shared between you and 2 others if you wish to use it which means $20 a month. Other bills (Gas and electricity) are split between four.
