Depending on the unit one or two toilets are provided.Each student has his or her own bedroom. A single bed, desk and chair with built-in wardrobes with full-length mirror sliding doors are in all rooms. A private balcony for every two students allows those wanting to take advantage of our climate the opportunity to do so.Each bedroom has plenty of power points and a phone outlet. An abundance of natural light comes in and drapes are on all windows. Carpet is on all floors in the upstairs rooms.All units have plenty of windows that look into the garden areas. All have drapes to ensure privacy.Quality light fittings and locks are on all doors. The floors on the ground floor level are tiled.Each bedroom can be locked to ensure privacy.All units are repainted every year.The Student Village is surrounded by landscaped gardens full of Australian native shrubs. Bird life abounds in this setting. The layout of the units, which range from 3,4, and 5 bedrooms, gives a true village feel and privacy of the residents is assured. A sense of space is evident.An indoor geothermal swimming pool serves as a wonderful recreational area. A Gymnasium of international standard is available a short walk from the Student Village and is part of the University of Southern Queensland.A coin laundry with clean modern washing machines and dryers is available 24 hours a day.Each unit has a single car garage and plenty of parking is available in the Student Village compound for guests and residents.Wheelchair access has been considered in the design.A bus stop is right outside the door to take you to the City which is about 15 minutes away or 5 minutes by car. The bus runs 5 days a week on the hour weekend services are less frequent.For those who want to, it is fairly flat in Toowoomba and a bicycle ride is always a pleasant experience.A staff of over 10 people is involved in making residents comfortable. A full time Student Village Manager ensures that all aspects of Student Village life runs smoothly. Two full time caretakers live on the premises they are backed up by an office administrator and a host of internal and external cleaners and maintenance people.All units have been fitted with security screens for the students peace of mind. A private security firm ensures that the premises are kept safe. No canvassers are allowed on the premises.
