So tell me Jim, what really grabbed you about 5 Nannine when you purchased it in 2006?
Well, in all honesty it would have to be the whisper quiet and tranquil position, being located in a Cul de Sac that runs off a loop street that only has two access points, provided the privacy I was looking for.
Jim, the home certainly has excellent streetscape as well?
That was definitely the sealer for me, with its manicured hedges and beautifully established front gardens, it was a real surprise packet to find a remote controlled double garage tucked away behind. Most of our friends believe the location of the home to be one of its real strengths.
Closing the garage and stepping onto the 8.5m x 4.5 m Jarrah North facing deck soon eases the challenges of the day as you smell the gas BBQ doing its thing, and grab a cold one from the fridge.
The architecturally designed pergola with all its elevation allows the winter sun to flood in, whilst the summer sun moves above the top of the pergola. Wish I could say I designed it myself; it is certainly somewhere we have spent a lot of time entertaining over the years.
With the child friendly, beautifully established 4 seasons gardens there is not a window that doesn’t offer a great vista to the greenery beyond, it is really very peaceful, the home has a great feel to it’ that alone and the privacy were key things for me.
What about the location Jim?
Being located in Weston Creek is a deceptively central part of the ACT to live in. Fisher is set back and well insulated from Hindmarsh Drive and the Tuggeranong Parkway.
Whilst living in Fisher I worked in Woden and Tuggeranong. I was so close to work that the heater in my car had only just begun by the time I parked. No Burke and Wills to Civic or Manuka either. Minutes to the rejuvenated Cooleman Court and Woden Plaza are also big selling points I think.
It’s a very liveable home Scott, and it’s the ideal time with interest rates declining for someone to move in and put their own personal touches to the home. We found the two living areas and 4 bedrooms fine for us, and having two bathrooms is a real bonus.
Overall the family that buys 5 Nannine will really be comfortable for many years to come, and if its good neighbours, location, and privacy that they are looking for, then Nannine has it in spades!
