Your chance to own this exclusive North Coast, sub-tropical idyll – “La Casa”. A perfectly private, mountain retreat overlooking the ocean.
With Balinese and south east Asian influences the five pavilions are linked by covered walkways featuring floor to ceiling glass wall panels which open completely introducing an exuberant feeling of light and space.
The first pavilion incorporates library, office space and/or second bedroom and looks over the reflection pond, the wet edge of the salt water pool and leads the eye on to the distant sea.
Along the textured stone paving of the hallway is the master pavilion from which it’s just a quick dive into the pool.
A spacious bathroom features an indoor and outdoor shower.
There is a dining, living and kitchen pavilion with polished concrete bench tops, silky oak cabinetry and mixed species, local hardwood floors.
A separate self-contained, guest pavilion includes a generous living area.
At every turn is a view more stunning than the last and passive, environmental controls such as cross ventilation and appropriate shading exclude summer glare and invite winter sun making the house climatically ideal.

“La Casa”was designed as a series of linked pavilions by Architect Elizabeth Watson-Brown in collaboration with the Sydney-based owners who quite simply wanted a retreat from their busy inner-city life, “a place to live in a tropical garden, to be contemplative and to host joyous gatherings of friends”
Elizabeth Watson-Brown won Building of the Year award (2002 Qld) for this home which has lived up to its brief and been a tranquil getaway and source of great joy to its owners.
