Located on the lower slopes of the Cambewarra escarpment, with sweeping views across the peaceful farmlands of Meroo Meadow to Coolangatta Mountain, Silverwood comprises 2.5 acres of peaceful park-like grounds with delightful outlooks in every direction.

Nestled in this idyllic setting, convenient to both Berry and Nowra, is a three-bedroom architect-designed house with glass sliding doors and timber decks for a seamless flow between indoors and out.

There are beautiful views from every window, say the current owners. We’ve never felt the need for curtaining as we like to let the outside come in. From this high position, the view is always changing as the mists rise or you can see the rain coming in. It’s impossible to feel stressed here it’s a very calming place. After years of running a motel and dealing with people constantly we’ve loved the peace and quiet here and the abundant birdlife.

Inside, the house features several levels and interesting spaces with curving walls. From the kitchen and dining area with beautiful polished timber floors, steps lead down to a living area with slow combustion fireplace and reverse-cycle air-conditioner, flowing out onto a large entertaining deck. Off the kitchen is an office, leading through to the laundry with additional separate lavatory.

The main bedroom features an en suite bathroom and walk-in robe while two additional bedrooms have built-in robes. The spacious main bathroom includes a spa bath and separate shower.

Beneath the house is a large workshop and there is also a double garage with remote control door and internal access. Additional features include a 100,000 litre water tank and Envirocycle septic system. The property is fully fenced.

Surrounding the house are established gardens with superb mature trees and hedges creating garden rooms’.

The house has been ideal for having friends and family to stay, say the owners. It’s well set out so no one feels on top of one another. We’ve really enjoyed the outdoors here, however. The main part of the house is outside the windows.

There’s also so many different things to do around this area. We’re close to Berry and Kangaroo Valley and have easy access to Seven Mile Beach and we often drive to Bowral or Canberra for a change of scene.
