After retiring in Sydney 18 years ago the current owners went in search of a special location to build a comfortable and stylish home in which to entertain and accommodate their visiting family, grandchildren and hordes of friends. With its wonderful views of the Upper Kangaroo Valley escarpments, peaceful leafy surrounds and enough space to expand their passion for the garden “Green Haven” was settled upon.
It was important to the owners to develop a down to earth experience for their young grandchildren who in return have relished in this country playground, with its quaint little cubby house, feeding the chooks and collecting the eggs, picking fresh vege’s and fruit. Another important aspect has been the wonderful walks on their quiet country road to enjoy not only the ever-changing breathtaking scenery and distant waterfalls, but to call in for a cuppa with the friendly locals in neighbouring properties.

Located just under 10 kilometres from the Village the property is on the local public and high school bus route, and only a short walk to the Kangaroo River For the young family convenience is a big plus in a small country town.

The main living area with its Western red cedar cathedral ceilings and casual dining is a lovely spacious area set up well for entertaining. The country style kitchen leads to both the living and formal dining and lounge area’s. There is a cosy closed wood fire in the living and the jetmaster open fire in the lounge is a great spot on winter nights. All bedrooms enjoy natural light, built in robes and ceiling fans. The main bedroom has a large ensuite and sunken corner bath.
Extra guests have their own granny flat with lovely views.
The home is well insulated and there is ample water capacity. The 2/3 acre paddock with dam is maintained by the neighbouring Alpaca’s and Horses when needed.
