LOCATION:
Merrimbla is conveniently located East of the Newell Highway in the Gurley – Bellata District, wholly within the Moree Plains Shire and North West Local Lands Services Division. 10km south of gurley, 40km south of Moree, 13km north of Bellata and 62km north of Narrabri.

COUNTRY:
Merrimbla comprises 2831.123 ha (6995 ac) of well planned, efficient farming country with large regular paddocks, allowing for one A-B GPS line for most of the property. It is considered to have good quality soils with a slight fall to the west – and has a history of growing broadacre dryland cotton in summer and wheat, barley and chickpeas in winter.

ARABLE COUNTRY:
Approximately 2,612.6 hectares (92%).

WATER:
The property drains easily into 11 dams and creeks. Several waterways have been established with grass to minimise erosion and weed establishment from external sources. These waterways have been developed to allow all weather access to the Newell Highway.

Rainwater is supplied by 645 000 litre tank storage capacity on farm. All houses are connected to rainwater throughout.

A new Stock & Domestic bore was constructed in May 2019 to service Merrimbla.
