If you are looking for a getaway block where you can escape to on week-ends, these 34.6 acres (14 ha) have basic but comfortable accommodation in the form of a caravan with a large room attached.
Pretty well walk in walk out, power is provided by a small solar system. Mains power is available along the front boundary if that is your preference. There are 4 x 1,000 litre water tanks under roof that collect rainwater.
Quite a high block, the majority of which is easy to drive around, there are distant views from where the week-ender has been built. It was smoky when I took the photos so they don’t do the view justice.
A couple of steep gullies have seasonal creeks which would be great to see in the wet season. There is a nice dam but unfortunately being in drought the dam is currently empty. Vegetation mainly consists of various gums including Spotty Gum and Gum Top Box.
Having bitumen road frontage, the block is just under 1km off the Bruce Highway and approx. 11km from the township of Gin Gin which has all the facilities you require.
Central to freshwater fishing in Monduran Dam or Lake Awoonga, tidal fishing at Agnes Water or Baffle Creek is also an easy drive.
Telstra mobile reception is good and rates are approximately $1,120.00 per year.
