Set on 5 acres, just minutes from Whitsunday Plaza, this property is perfectly located. You can get away from everything and still be close enough to anything.
On entering the property, you drive past the 3 bay shed which has a workshop area and parking for two vehicles.
Passing the shed, you have no idea what is in store for you when you see the house…..until you get there.
With a beautiful green front lawn, the house is in two sections joined by timber decking which accommodates the outdoor living area and the pool. If you love timber, you will fall in love with this “tree-house”.
In the main section, there is decking all around. Inside, there is a large open plan living area with cathedral ceilings. Running off the living area there are three bedrooms and a loft. The bathhouse is a separate building again and combines the bathroom, toilet and laundry. The in-ground pool is set in the deck of the outdoor entertainment area. From this area you get sensational valley views and can catch the seaview.
The house was designed and engineered by Steve Athey of Beachtech in 1996. It is a typical hardwood framed house with most of the timber used in the construction being Spotted Gum. The top beam is a laminated Tasmanian Oak and the internal tree to the loft is a Moreton Bay Ash which was sourced from the property. The flooring is Brush Box, Galley Cedar/Spotted Gum tops while the French doors and windows are Cyrian Cedar.
The house generally faces north and catches all cross breezes through summer. The walls and roof have been insulated. Water supply to the property is through four rainwater tanks. Underneath the house, there is room for further storage of vehicles.
