Historic Landmark Property – Circa 1886 – Return Verandah Villa

This is your chance to own a piece of Glenalta history, Laffer House. The original cottage built in 1886, was first owned by Robert Burfield and used as an Apple and Pear Orchard. Robert Burfield also founded the Belair Hotel (formally the Blackwood Inn). The property was then purchased in 1878 by Phillip Laffer. The main house was then built in 1907 remaining in the Laffer family until 1955 when it was purchased by a developer and sub-divided into the suburb known as Glenalta in 1958. The cottage and main house was joined together sometime in the 1980′s to create the extensive home that is seen today.

The home consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with a double garage. The gardens are well maintained and the home has been renovated in keeping with the age of the property.

Inspection is highly recommended.
