What a convenient berth this one is! Just a few steps from the security gate on C dock this 12 metre berth is a great spot to moor the family boat. No long walks to get to the the berth carrying all the gear and the kids for a day or a week out. Tucked in by the Marina wall you get a considerable benefit in protection from the prevailing summer breezes, a blessing when berthing late in the day.
For the commercial operator what better location could you ask for. Perfect for unloading the catch or loading clients, no doubling up with landing on the fuel dock to load or unload. Just pull in and tie up. With two sold in the last 8 weeks it is time to look at purchasing a berth at Wirrina as the market there begins to normalise. Certainly you should at least have a look before the Summer buyers come into the market.
There are rental opportunities for those wishing to cover holding costs. A number of buyers I am talking to are looking to invest via a self managed super fund so that is another option to investigate. Wirrina remains a great place to operate from in your vessel, power or sail as you are right there immediately you move outside the walls. Pristine water, good fishing, diving reliable breezes for those with sails and the summer breeze is offshore so you can usually find somewhere to fish in the lee, good protection inside the marina year round too. For those wishing to go further KI is well within striking distance from wirrina. The Marina St Vincent offers decent berth widths and turning room too; fuel, bait and some chandlery is available from the Marina office as is hard standing. Power and water are included with the berth and the ablution block is well maintained, clean and tidy. New lighting and security gate cards are close and the paving is underway. At not much more than an hour from Adelaide it is worth considering basing your open water escapades at Wirrina year round. Even through winter we get some fantastic boating days here abouts.
