This is significant native bushland which was seriously impacted by wild fire in 2012. With Department of Parks and Wildlife on three boundaries, this block is placed to preserve the natural bushland and floral and fauna species native to the island. There has been a conservation covenant placed over around 50% of the property which allows opportunity to develop sufficient area to develop for residential purpose should that be in consideration. Parks & Wildlife land comprises a significant part of the North East of the island running through to the east coast and south to the Sea Elephant River and beyond. There is currently no legal access to the property but if that could be obtained off Reekara Road this would make a great opportunity to preserve and enjoy a unique environment. Otherwise, look to be part of a growing environmental trend where private property is being bought up and covenanted in full to preserve unique areas of the island’s natural wonderland.
