This sloping 2-acre allotment north of Alonnah has a very sunny north-westerly aspect, with attractive water views from the upper part of the land. The location is towards the quiet end of Matthew Flinders Drive, and the road dips down to meet the water just a couple of hundred metres further along from the block. At this point there is easy access for launching a dinghy.
The block has recently been re-surveyed. The land is mostly cleared with a few beautiful mature eucalypts and light bush higher up – the elevated land near the crest of the hill would make a superb building site, with winter sun and views across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel towards the Wellington Range.
On the site is a well-built Colorbond shed, with basic cooking facilities, fireplace, water tank and separate storage shed. It could easily be converted into a simple but comfortable holiday shack. There is electricity on-site but this would need to be reconnected.
It’s a short drive to Alonnah, where the amenities of the village include hotel, school, shop, medical centre and marina.
Building would be easy on this attractive large block – or a new owner may just like to enjoy the existing shack as a comfortable and simple Bruny Island getaway.
