On arriving at the entrance gate at the bottom, the driveway is an all weather 2 wheel drive access that winds up through the tall gums and pops out at the house site like an island in the sun. A solid shed with lovely old timber barn doors is ideal for the car and plenty of room left over for the workshop and extra storage. Veggie garden beds line the ground in front taking advantage of the sunny position and a chook pen is ready for your chickens.

The house consists of a large open plan living area with a kitchen at one end and a lovely spot to sit back with a good book at the other. The kitchen has a beautiful wood stove which is also hooked up with a wet-back system and backed up with an instant gas hot water unit. The kitchen and main living enjoy the amazing views with French doors that open out to the covered deck verandah. This is a fabulous spot to get lost in the moment whilst pondering the world as you stare at what is a very tranquil outlook.

The stairs at the back of the living lead up to the main bedroom, a nice space to retreat to at the end of the day. Above the kitchen is another interesting space which is located within the distinct pointed roof section of the house. Although this could be a small bedroom, it has a built in bench with windows out over the gorgeous views and would make a fabulous room for getting the creative juices going. Write a book, paint the view or do your yoga. On the ground level, the bathroom incorporates the laundry too and is where the environmental composting loo is.

This is definitely a special and quirky property with loads of artistic appeal. Alternatively there is the option of developing the scope of living and via a solid formed access, you can drive up to the top of the hill where you really do start to feel like you dominate the valley. From up there the views get spectacular and given the power is already at the current house, it is only a bit further up the hill and you have mains power as well. To have a new house up here though, it is all subject to council approvals of course and the current house would need to be changed from dwelling to guest accommodation status through council.
