A boat ramp is located across the road from Grassy Point, bike paths will take you as far as you’d like to go. Edwards Point Reserve in St Leonard’s offers some amazing woodland hiking trails. There are snorkeling and dive sites all around the bay.

Only a 90km drive from the city! Portarlington ferry return service to Docklands (1hr 10 min) – www.portphillipferries.com.au/ – has also been a gamechanger for tourists, commuters & local businesses. Alternatively from Melbourne take the V Line train to Geelong (35 km away), and jump on a bus that drops you off very close to the house. The historic town of Queenscliff (ferry service to/from Sorrento) and Point Lonsdale surf beach are only a short car ride away. Well-known vineyards such as Jack Rabbit & Terindah Estate, The Whiskery, Basil’s Farm, Tuckerberry Farm, PIKNIK cafe, Pucci’s cafe, Blues Train, and Portarlington golf course are also nearby. The town of Portarlington has a Woolworth’s supermarket, The Bakehouse, Pier Front Pizza (all are highly recommended), beautiful sheltered north-facing bay beaches, a pier with fresh mussels for sale ($6/kilo!), and is perfect for safe swimming and fishing. St Leonard’s, a 10 min drive to the south, also has a pier, fishing, playground, IGA, shops, an iconic hotel, and numerous cafes.
