How embarrassing. I used to be lovely, in fact I was always my owners pride and joy. When they moved out they put me up for rent. For a while all went well, I was treated with respect, then they appeared, "the tenants being friends of friends of friends". It all went downhill from here. It began with neglect, then abuse and finally they moved on, but alas the damage was done, I was not the house I used to be, I am now a bit battered and bruised. But I could be all good again, all I need is a second chance. I’m not that old really having been built in the late 80′s. I’m on stumps with a steel roof and cedar weatherboards so basically I’m pretty tough. My floor plan offers no surprises with 3 reasonable sized bedrooms, a small study/office, a lounge with a space where a solid fuel heater used to be, a kitchen needing love plus a bathroom, toilet and laundry that could do with a makeover. I pride myself on being a genuine "renovators delight". Now for the block and location. The block itself is approximately 864 m2 and flat. Believe it or not there are a couple of sheds hidden down the back for you to discover. I’m only a few metres to the recreation centre with its hall and tennis courts and within easy walking distance to the magic ocean surf beaches and coastal national parks. Oh, and for the golfing tragics there’s the St Andrews Golf Club just up the road as well as The Dunes, Eagle Ridge and Moonah Links to name but a few. For the ladies there is the world class Peninsula Hot Springs, a great place to relax after a tough day renovating. I heard the owners chatting to the agent about doing me up or even knocking me down, no-one seemed to care, heartless if you ask me. Where’s my knight in shining armour?
