McGettigan House is a heritage listed property and one of the most significant houses in Ewingsdale. Built for Bernard and Margret McGettigan and completed in 1899, it has just undergone an extensive renovation that has restored to its former beauty with some modern touches and a stunning extension.

A short walk down the hall with its high, pressed metal ceiling takes you on a 120-year journey from the late Victorian era to a contemporary, open-plan space with soaring ceilings that is flooded with light. The house’s north facing deck, veranda and rooms all enjoy the morning sun and have views of the landscaped grounds.
The large Morton Bay fig tree behind the house has been dated at 300-500 years of age and Ewingsdale creek runs through the property. There is abundant wildlife that includes kookaburras and the occasional koala. This is the perfect blend of history, nature and the best of contemporary living.
