Wind down the mountain from Mt. White to the serene little hamlet that is Wendoree Park. Just 6 minutes off the freeway, and 1000 miles from care, is this delightful nature lover’s paradise. Now there’s no excuse to sit in traffic jams to the Central Coast. Become pals with a kangaroo, water monitor, lyrebird or king parrot – just some of the many and varied wildlife that visit you every day. Alternatively, take the boat out and discover some of the Hawkesbury’s best secret fishing spots, or hop across the river and enjoy one of Spencer Store’s famous breakfasts.
Wendoree Park sits on the junction of Mangrove Creek and the Hawkesbury River and has an active, social bushfire brigade, a childrens’ playground, public wharf and boat launching area. The locals (there are only about 40 homes), have regular get-togethers, barbeques and bushwalks.
This vacant land has an excellent cabin nicknamed “The Love Shack”, and good access up to the site. Excellent water views are available, and just across the road you have river access through the mangroves. The kids will have everlasting memories of their adventures in this bushland paradise.
