The former Newcastle Post Office is an “iconic” building in the heart of the
Newcastle CBD. Opportunities such as this do not come along every day.
This historic building is constructed over four levels and dates back to 1903. It is a fine piece of Edwardian Classical architecture designed by NSW government architect Walter Liberty Vernon.
The building includes a substantial basement area, ground‐floor arcade,
mezzanine office area and first‐floor colonnade complete with a large light well, parapet and cupolas it was apparently based on Palladio’s Basilica at Vicenza.
