Own a piece of South Coast History in picturesque Nelligen. Built in 1896, historic St Joseph’s Church was last used for services in 1976. The Church was built by local craftsmen, in the heyday of Nelligen’s importance as the Port serving the South Coast.
Moruya granite was used for the base of the building, and local clay for the handmade bricks in the walls. These form a magnificent feature inside the Church. The floor has since been overlaid with lovely timber boards.
Since passing into private hands, the building has been used as a craft shop and a Wedding venue. The current owners intended to convert the building into a beautiful residence, but circumstances have changed, so the property is to be sold. All plans for conversion to a residence are included in the sale. Other possible uses could be as a studio or gallery. There is plenty of land the block is a generous 1550 square metres.
The location is terrific just ten minutes from Bateman’s Bay, and less than two hours from Canberra. A short stroll takes you to the coffee shops and riverside park. The historic Bushranger tree, the Nelligen jetty, and boat launching area are all nearby.
If you have ever dreamed of owning a stunning property in a beautiful area, this is your chance.
