Flooded flats lignum swamps & chennels. Permanent & semi permanent waterholes.
These areas grow coolibah, river box, yapunyah & river cooba. Vegetation includes Queensland blue bush, warrego summer grass, bend grass, hoop mitchell, neverfail, native panic & pillet, together with river couch and clovers & medics in season.

Soft red:
Soft sandy rises & undulations. Interspersed with low lying flats, swamps & sinks together with areas of floodout country and canegrass flats, forming a drainage system associated with the river system, but also benefiting from local runoff. These areas incorporate sizeable lakes with appreciable expanses of water and an abundance of birdlife.
The timber in the soft red country includes belah, rosewood, ironwood, whitewood, leopardwood, beefwood, supplejack & bimble box, with river box in the swamps and on the rim of the lakes. Abundant edible shrubs including hopbush & acacia. Grasses include woolly butt purple lovegrass, wanderrie grass, bluegrass & umbrella grass, a variety of native perennials, and stands of buffel.

Mulga:
Principally raised mulga flats with watercourses. Only some light stone & ironstone gravel. A very good mix of high & low Mulga, providing a perfect balance with the other soil types and vegetation. The properties to the North of Naree provide a watershed for this area and for lower
lying soft red country, feeding creeks that flow both ways: from the raised Mulga country in the North of the property and as backwater from the Cuttaburra basin to the South. The Mulga country is well grassed, with wiregrass, silver grass, neverfail, mulga mitchell & mulga oats. Other timber in this area includes corkwood, beefwood & bimble box.

There is a pvp in place over the whole property starting from 19/12/2011 to 19/12/2026 for the clearing of lignum, mulga and woody weeds.
