“Warriston” is situated only half an hour North of Dubbo on the Collie Road. The undulating country of brown, red and sandy loam soils allows for grazing sheep and cattle with winter forage crops and some grain crops.
The property is subdivided into 14 paddocks by hinge joint, ring lock, and plain wire fencing. Stock water is supplied by 10 dams of a good size that are all currently full. Pastures are mainly native grasses with some remnant lucerne. Four paddocks have been sown to Oats for grazing in the current season. Improvements include an older weatherboard home, steel cattle yards, 3 stand (unused) woolshed with steel sheep yards, two steel framed hay sheds, an elevated storage shed and older machinery shed. “Front Warriston” is currently run as a cattle and farming operation but would lend itself to sheep and winter forage crops. The property would benefit from futher cropping and pasture improvement. A further 200 ha would be available taking the property to 2516 acres.
