COUNTRY:
The aggregation is located on the lower Macquarie River flood plain slightly upstream of its junction with the Barwon River. Soils range from chocolate to heavy black alluvial type, typical of coolabah flood plain country. Approximately 50% of the aggregation receives regular inundation from the complex river systems which dominate the area providing excellent opportunities to top up soil moisture levels. Approximately 3,300 hectares are at present being cultivated for dryland farming whilst a further 445 hectares have been developed for flood irrigation.

WATER:
Double frontage to Macquarie River, access to Barwon River, Brewon piped bore scheme supplies water to 15 tanks and 33 troughs. Homestead supply is from the Macquarie River plus 135,000 litres of rain water.

IRRIGATION:
Two high flow licences from the Macquarie River giving a total allocation of 3,988 megs per annum. 3,500 meg storage plus adjacent 250 Ha lagoon.
