Set on the magnificent Macquarie River, this beautiful property is built for entertaining.
As you enter the home, you will instantly get a feel for the clean lines and quality fittings. The polished timber floors throughout make it a dream to keep clean; the slow combustion fireplace in the lounge room will keep you cosy all winter.
There is a huge family room adjacent to the entry the floor features a stunning parquetry design of a compass. This room would be perfect as either as a craft/ sewing room or another lounge or family room.
All three bedrooms are large and have ample wardrobe and storage space. The house has two bathrooms, which means the rush in the morning is not an issue.
My favorite room is the office, which has a window with a river outlook to gaze at while working on that special project.
Connected to the house is a 3-car garage, that has plenty of space for a man cave and provides a private space to the gentlemen of the family to while away the hours building items for the home or just for some ‘on my own’ space.
The kitchen is one of the most sensible I have ever seen, it is split into two sections. The main section of the kitchen has views of the river and features a magnificent granite bench and 5-burner natural gas stovetop. The double oven is in a separate section, so that in the summer months, use of the oven is a pleasure. The generous pantry area will give you plenty of space for all the necessary items required to plan and create the most wonderful menus.
The kitchen opens to a large dining/sunroom, which has amazing views of the river and would be an idyllic place for your morning coffee.
When you step outside, what opens is a wonderful space with a huge deck for entertaining, with sails for protection from the elements. The yard is terraced and established trees provide shade over the warmer months. For the care of the garden, there is a well, which will provide more than enough water to see you through the toughest drought, and reduces the expense of utilising town water.
The Macquarie River is a special place where kayaking is a joy, and we even have the elusive platypus residing not far from this delightful property. Just think, you can roll out of bed, throw on the togs, pick up your kayak, walk down your backyard and you are in the river! Life doesn’t get much better than that.
