COUNTRY:

Generally flat to gently sloping with some low, timbered hills on the eastern end of the property. The country consists of rich, chocolate alluvial flats along Berrigal Creek which forms the western boundary. It then rises away to the east with some areas of lighter country interspersed with significant areas of excellent chocolate loam and black self-mulching soils which form the basis for much of the cultivation and open grazing country. Timber consists of gum and apple along the creek to broad-leaf ironbark, white box, kurrajong and some pine.

CULTIVATION

Approx 830 HA have been cultivated and this season 385 HA will be sown to forage oats or barley.

WATER

Semi-permanent water along Berrigal Creek on the western boundary and significant water holes along another 3 gullies running through the property. House supply is from a well equipped with electric pressure pump to yards and 2 troughs, 1 x well equipped with windmill to a 90,000 litre tank and trough. Currently not in use is 1 windmill on the house dam, 1 bore equipped with pump jack to a 13,500 litre tank and trough and a second unequipped bore. There are also 19 catchment dams.

FENCING

Sub-divided into 19 main paddocks plus 2 laneways for moving stock. Internal fencing plain and barbed wire. Boundary fence plain and barbed wire with some netting.
