KYWONG
Situated 60 kilometres west of the regional centre of Wagga Wagga and 30 kilometres east of Narrandera with 3.2 kilometres of Sturt highway frontage.
The land area is 1288 acres set on three titles, all land is freehold and the vendor will consider selling Kywong as three parcels.
The soils on Kywong are quite unique with 700 acres of chocolate self-mulching soils and the balance being red sandy loams. Native timber is yellow and grey box, red gum and cypress pine.
In 2012 Kywong has been sown to 700 acres of canola. This crop has established well on 12 inch spacing’s, has been top dressed with urea, has good weed control and is sitting on a full moisture profile as a result of the wet summer of 2011/12 and good recent winter rain.
The country lends itself to winter cereals, canola and pulse crops. Lucerne would perform well on the red loam country.
The fencing is in sound stock proof condition throughout and consists of hinge joint & barb on steel posts.
The district annual average rainfall is 450mm.
