When I asked the owners of this eclectic pole home what brought them to Cheero Point all those years ago, they told me it was the lifestyle. Imagine returning home from work each day and relaxing on your verandah, feeding the birds, and overlooking scenic Sunshine Bay and Brisbane Water National Park. This is truly a peaceful way to unwind!
There’s no need for holidays anymore – you are already on a permanent one!
Now for the home. Its a cedar and metal roof highset home offering (as I’ve said before), great views. But the layout intrigues me. The ground floor is open plan with a galley kitchen looking straight over the dining area to the large entertaining balcony and beyond. There is also a bathroom and 3rd bedroom or study on this level. However, there are two staircases on each side of the home, and each lead to an interesting mezzanine master and 2nd bedroom. Very different!
The house lends itself to a few senarios – it needs a bit of TLC which shouldn’t be too hard for the accomplished handyman and it can be your “forever” home, but the added bonus is that it spans 3 blocks of land, and the redevelopment opportunities for the future can perhaps be your retirement fund, STCA.
Not only that, but the adjoining neighbour may also be interested – then you have 6 blocks.
Cheero Point is just 5 minutes drive north of Brooklyn and only 15 minutes from Wahroonga via the F3.
