The cottage is known as such because of an earlier owner, Don Sternbeck, descendant of one of the first settler families around here.
He was a colourful character by all accounts. There is a photo of him included in the images.
The present owners have restored the cottage from its derelict condition and today it is used as a weekend escape for city people and others who want to get away for it all. St Albans is a great place for that. It is literally a two minute walk from here to the Settlers Arms Inn.
Besides the cottage there is the ‘barn’. It is decked out to sleep at least four. The cottage is one bedroom, but together they offer plenty of space.
What you have here is unlimited potential. Use this as it has been for some time and generate a bit of income or forget all that, and use it yourself. Live here permanently if you are of a mind to. Don’t forget there are two separate titles. So nothing prevents you from retaining the existing buildings and building a new home as well. These are two fantastic blocks. They are about half acre each (2000sq mtrs each.) They rise gently to an elevation which give a view over the whole village.
I won’t rave on. I have uploaded quite a number of photos so I will let them do the talking. Beyond that, call me and get up here for a look. Make it quick.
