This Storybook Cottage has a real life story behind it. This home has been lovingly handcrafted from the ground up by its very talented owner over the past 15 years. Back in late 1990s the creation began, conjured up by the owner to create the ultimate peaceful haven. He started to source recycled materials, from near and far, and only the best would do. The bricks used, originally formed the base of a Refractory Brick Kiln. Having been fired for many years they produced a once only effect not found anywhere else. With restored stained glass windows on every level, Romeo Juliet balconies, recycled oregan timber, brass fittings and sourced old world tiles set the theme for this storybook cottage. Throughout the fully landscaped garden is the abundant use of local Yellow Rock Stone. This place is a real picture and truly a haven from a busy world.

Throughout the creation, the owner kept going, adding special features, creating nooks and crannies for special treasures and a uniqueness unsurpassed. It is reported he was regularly seen with his hammer, level and saw, ready to create the next chapter. But just like a novel, not everyone liked it and this home needed some editing.

In came Andrew Winter and the Selling Houses Australia renovation crew (Foxtels No.1 rated Lifestyle Program) to the rescue. Stripping away the complexities of this property, they tore down walls, moved whole kitchens and removed large external structures to open up both inside and out. All of a sudden we could see those beautiful stain glass windows and features that had disappeared. A coat of paint, replenishment of the garden by Charlie Albone (professional landscaper) and a touch of sheer class from the Shaynna Blaze-Vaughan (Celebrity Interior Designer) meant the story was tied together to create this very special and functional retreat.

Now, to be part of and complete the story, can you write the next chapter in the history of this property, and live happily ever after .
