Yong Commercial is pleased to offer “The Island”, Brisbane’s Party Boat.

The Island Party Boat was built in Brisbane by Evans Deakin Limited in 1965 for the Brisbane City Council. As the “Sir James Holt” vehicular ferry she transported vehicles across the Brisbane River at Murrarie until the completion of the Gateway Bridge some twenty years ago. Renamed “The Island” Party Boat she is now a successful part of the Brisbane hospitality scene enjoyed by patrons while cruising the Brisbane River.

The Island is a licensed floating entertainment venue and is offered for sale by tender on a ‘walk-in-walk-off’ basis. The vessel has been recently slipped. A large inventory of plant and equipment is included and a change over training period is negotiable.

Currently run as a profitable family business this vessel of some 895.15tonnes is 51.55metres long and 16.46metres wide. The depth from deck to keel is 4.70metres drawing approximately 2.5metres below the waterline. Power is provided by two 500 hp marine diesel engines through Voight-Schneider propulsion units at each end making it a very manoeuvrable craft. A spare engine is included.
