At the time of the 2006 Census, Manufacturing was the largest industry of employment for Logan City Council Local Government Area (LGA) usual residents, with 18,279 persons or 15.8 per cent of the region’s employed labour force. Other industries with relatively large numbers of employed persons included Retail Trade (14,521 persons or 12.5 per cent) and Construction (13,273 persons or 11.4 per cent).
