Let me tell you a story about a Property in the Glass House Mountains.

There once was a couple who decided that farming was to be their life's work. So some 30 odd years ago they made their dream a reality by securing a 63 acre parcel of land right in the heart of the Glass House Mountains to plant, nurture and harvest their first crop of pineapples. As the years progressed and the farmer's wife perfected her pineapple upside-down cake, pineapple crush sorbets and pineapple fritters they soon experienced the pitter-patter of tiny feet as they began to grow their family. With this came a menagerie of animals – horses, ducks and chickens – to truly make this not only a farm but their home.

Oh yeah, there were tractors and motorbikes too – plenty of fun and mischief for the kids as they grew. However, their favourite was the really deep dam, that for mum and dad was an awesome water supply for their pineapples, but for them it was the spot for the ultimate competition. Who could swim down to the bottom? A feat that still hasn't been accomplished to this day!

What fun they had living this awesome life in a home so spacious that everyone got their own bedroom plus one spare. And the parents had their own bathroom too. With two living areas there were never any fights over the TV … just perfect children who lived in harmony and help tend the farm. Early morning rises on the farm were an everyday occurrence but who wanted to stay in bed when you could sit huddled together under a blankie and watch the giant form of Mt Tibrogargan emerging from the mist like a giant ready to tower over and protect your home each day.

Well the kids have all grown up now and have moved out of home, the tractors and machinery are now parked up in the shed, and with sounds of giggles and laughter nothing but a distant memory the dream is slowly fading. With an injury to the shoulder sealing the deal once and for all this dream can now be yours. So although there is still a small crop which you can farm if you like, there are several options here if you seek the farming life. So if you want a job, an income or just a hobby farm, call Loretta Morgan and she will take you down to the farm. Sixty three acres equipped with a huge shed, a house with all the mod cons and a pool to keep you cool, come down to the farm to explore and grow your dream. What more would you want if you are seeking a lifestyle change.

Living in the Glass House Mountains – life will never be the same.
