In 2008 a concept was discussed by a group of friends that nurtured the idea of living, creating business space (ie: relocating) and investing in an exclusive Woody Point address.

Hence a unique project was born that is now coming to fruition.

Apollos’ entails 17 x residential Apartments and 3 Commercial Offices, located in the special Woody Point Village precinct at 56 Oxley Avenue. It has panoramic views over Bramble Bay to the D’Aguilar Range, CBD and Airport.

Of special significance, is that this site once housed the Woody Point Garage where Ray Frawley and Theo Price ran a local icon for 25 years. Ray says: “We enjoyed such wonderful friendships with some of the nicest people in Redcliffe and watching one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world”. In fact he remembers 30 years ago when Readers Digest ran a world wide competition to vote for the best sunsets.

Yes, you know it, Redcliffe won, sharing top billing with Sao Paulo of Brazil.

Ray vividly remembers the great West Indian cricketer, Wesley Hall, having his picture taken outside the garage and the Woody Point jetty and beach that played such a large part in the life of the…show more Frawley family.

This of course under the watchful eye of Molly Frawley.

However, perhaps the most exciting times were the early years when the Gladstone Yacht Race started not at Shorncliffe but at the Woody Point jetty.

The crowds were packed for some half a mile around the foreshore and towards the Hornibrook Highway.
