209 ha (516.4 acres) Cane farm in the Burdekin rural irrigation area with 201 ha freehold and 8 ha leasehold.
The farm is fully irrigated from a Sunwater allocation of 1400 megalitres and set up to drain all tailwater into a large recycle pit. A series of underground pipes connecting two channel pumps (1×6′ submersible and 1 x 8′ axial flow) and the diesel driven centrifical pump at the recycle pit delivers water to spaced outlets every 150-200 metres at the head of paddocks to deliver water through plastic fluming to the crop.
The farm has been 80% connected to dual row planting and minimum till operation giving growing costs among the lowest in the industry and requiring the minimum requirement for extensive machinery investing.
Two large sheds, one with doors keep machinery secure and a reange of machinery is included in the sale (list available).
The farm can be purchased with or without the 2010 crop which has been partially presold at record prices.
The grower is also part of two co-operatives with neighbouring farmers to harvest and plant and co-own equipment to more economically perform these operations giving more dollars in the the bank at the end of season.
A 20,000 litre water tank filled from the large shed gives domestic water for the farm.
