History of the site. This is the site of the Alligator Creek meat works, which was established in the late 1800,s and was shut down in 1968. The site was formally a part of Bentley station. In 1987 Thuringowa City council approved rezoning of the site to a Special Facilities Zone. This was to allow the development of 320 special facility lots for the purpose of limited occupation fishing huts with a limited building size.
