How about this? Fully serviced 1/4 acre, fenced, stroll to the shops etc. This home can be configured in different ways ie. 1 main bedroom and huge verandahs all enclosed, 2 bedrooms and sleep-out etc etc. There’s a lovely old wood stove in the kitchen for winter and louvres abound for allowing summer breezes through the home.
If you’re looking for a place to come back to and not have too much to do to it when you do get back, then please consider this. You could rent it out for a fixed period and return when you’ve wandered enough and then start the cycle again the next year.
Do a Google search on this quaint country town and you may well be very pleasantly surprised.
Dirranbandi is the gateway to the Culgoa Flood Plains National Park and its name translates as ‘abounding in frogs and waterfowl’. This is a region of surprising diversity, rich in native bird and animal life with wide open spaces and waterways. The district around Dirranbandi supports cattle and cotton and has been described as some of the finest wool growing country in Australia. Dirranbandi is also home to Cubbie Station, the largest privately owned cotton property in the Southern Hemisphere. During the picking season the town’s population almost doubles when backpackers flock to the area for casual labour.
