BAKES SCHEME:
The Bakes Irrigation Scheme has six shareholders. A pump station, on the Macintyre River between Boggabilla and Goondiwindi, supplies the shareholding properties via a privately owned and maintained channel system. A manager is employed to maintain pumps and channels and to pump and regulate water in the supply channel.

IRRIGATION STORAGE:
There is approximately 2000 ML of storage in two adjoining cells with 8m walls. This is at approximately half capacity at present.

No.1 Dam Pump – 6 cylinder 234hp Cummins motor with 610mm axial pump and Randolph gear head, with trash rake.
No.2 Dam Pump – 6 cylinder 354 Perkins driving a 430mm Batescrew axial pump. (currently being rebuilt), with trash rake.
No.3 Tail Water Pump – 4 cylinder Deutz motor driving a 406mm Rodney Industries centifugal pump.

LIVESTOCK:
Approximately 24 hectares (60 acres) of fenced grazing land joining lagoon.

IMPROVEMENTS:
Three bedroom air conditioned home with enclosed verandah and pergola area. 2 x 5000 gallon rainwater tanks. 2 bay lockup car shed located nearby.
