Designed by innovative Melbourne architect Chris Idle, each Vivant home is a masterpiece of luxury and space. Idle Architecture Studio demonstrates its commitment to cultivating strong and dynamic relationships in Vivant The Living.
Chris went about creating something that hasn’t yet been seen in Bargara, or Bundaberg for that matter. But not just for the sake of it. Chris was determined to design something that would complement the beautiful surrounds of the Beach Milieu Estate at Bargara Beach. Something that would appear as one large residence, yet conceal two stunning house size town residences. Something that would make full use of the perfect Bargara Beach climate, including the use of natural materials and personal pools.
Beach Milieu is Bargara’s most central residential estate with easy access to the famous Bargara Golf Course and Clubhouse, central to 3 swimming beaches, Woolworth’s and IGA Shopping Centre within view, shops, restaurants and cafes within a short walk.
Of particular note is the extensive use of black and white throughout the residences. Particularly on the exterior surfaces, complemented with timber that is used to highlight areas both inside and out. The extensive use of timber on the garage doors and adjoining pergolas-cum-buggy parks is striking yet homely and inviting at the same time.
Another demonstration of Chris’ commitment to design driven excellence is how the indoor relaxation and outdoor entertaining blend with ease to create sensational living spaces. Commercial grade stackable doors open up to the plunge pool and outdoor area seductively drawing the outdoors in, while the 20ft ceilings and beautiful bamboo flooring further accentuate the light and space of the area.
The conspicuous pendant in the living area is designed by New Zealander David Trubridge who is renowned for his environmental and cultural work in the context of design. At night, the pendant casts its shadow on the surrounding walls releasing a stunning pattern. The European designed rectangular downlights you see throughout were specially chosen for their ability to light large spaces yet not detract from the clean lines and features throughout.
Stunning kitchen flows easily to dining, continuing easily in to the living area. With high-class Miele appliances including a fully integrated dishwasher, preparing of family meals is a pleasure. The fully imported stone benches wrap around to provide a breakfast bar area to include the whole family, while no expense has been spared in the luxurious soft closing kitchen cabinetry and drawers.
The joinery theme continues to the separate downstairs powder room. You’ll notice the innovative use of wave style tiles, which are considered to be the latest in design and innovation throughout Europe. Even the laundry is designed with the continuing theme in mind while still being fully equipped with considered space for all of your appliances and storage needs.
A barely noticeable feature however is the air conditioning. The selection of a fully ducted commercial grade system ensures the fullest enjoyment of the residence in summer and winter. Without such a dominant system, the Northern residence would become uncomfortably hot during summer. During winter however, the vast expanse of glass, combined with the solar hot water system will keep energy bills at the lowest of levels. Water tanks fitted to the rear of the residences are plumbed to the toilet and laundry to make even less use of the mains water supply.
Further subtle design features include the use of full height doors throughout the residence. This adds to the perception of space throughout. Windows are placed high and low to allow the entrance of light yet reduce any overlooking issues that may arise. Balustrades to the stairs and first floor balcony are made of 12mm glass. Subtle yet important factors such as this are purposefully included throughout the design.
The oversize master bedroom downstairs contains an extensive walk in robe area and dual basins in the striking ensuite for him and her. The whole ensuite flows gracefully toward the shower area that contains the latest in water saving shower head yet maintains the use of stylish appliances throughout.
Upstairs is an area of escape. The second living area will adapt to play the role of study or children’s play area just as easily. The two upstairs bedrooms, fitted with robes are plenty big enough for use as guest bedrooms.

To experience the quality of design and workmanship in these Vivant Town Houses, an inspection is a must.
