DA approved 23 villa boutique development at Bargaga Beach on Queensland’s Coral Coast near Bundaberg.
Currently operating as a caf and function centre which will remain the hub of the development, plans have been approved in February 2008 for the development of the site including a gymnasium, conference centre, arts and crafts centre, 23 holiday villas and more.
The property is one kilometre from the town centre on almost 8 acres of flat land. At the front there is already a large car park and well established vegetation and gardens. The land was originally used as strawberry farm.
The approved development is for higher density housing for tourist accommodation, with a view to strata title in the future.
Bargara is a rapidly expanding area with regular new housing developments including 89 block of land directly across the road. Increasing population in the whole area predicates Bargara’s prominence as both a residential and tourist destination.
