The Chics Pies business is an iconic brand that started in 1959, when Cliff (Chic) Ford bought the ingredients to bake his first pie in Bundaberg. Only two further owners have been involved since then, with the Limpus family as current owners, having run the operation since 1988.

The business today is a market leader, consisting of a (leasehold) wholesale manufacturing centre at Goodwin Street, Bundaberg and a (leasehold) retail bakery in Elliott Heads Road, with no direct competition.
